Good For Both

My copy and paste feature doesn't keep the words that are supposed to be italicized, so instead of me doing it manually, refer to a Bible to see which words are italicized.

Christians are told to let other professing Christians know when they sin, so they can ask God to forgive them for that sin and try not to do it again. Galatians 6:1 says, "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted."

Correcting Christians when they sin doesn't only help them to keep on the right path and have one way to know they are really Christians if they are sorry for the sins they committed and have desires not to not fail in those ways again, but it also helps the ones who do the correcting not to turn their hatred of the sins they correct into hatred for the professing Christians who commit the sins. Leviticus 19:17 explains, "Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him." The sooner the sins get corrected, the weight is lifted for both people, and it is put to bed.
