Don't Be Fooled
People who are against repentance, having a willingness to follow Jesus, and being willing for Jesus to become the Lord of their life (If you have read chapter 1 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com you will see that these basically mean the same thing.), will say just about anything to get people to ignore what the Bible says about them. They say that the people who teach those things are not trusting Christ to erase their sins and that they are trusting additional things to let them into heaven.
For those who don't read or understand the Bible, this seems to be correct. This makes these preachers and teachers very happy, because they get to have a group of followers to rally behind them. The thing about this, though, is that they will hide what the Bible really says about repentance, discipleship, and Jesus' Lordship. And, they will never let them read chapters 1, 5-7, and others of this book -
If they would let their congregations read them, they would be sure to brain wash them so they won't read them with a clear and open mind. That's a shame, but that's the reality we face today.
When someone teaches or preaches in a church and goes to great lengths to hide the truths in chapters 1, 5-7, and others, and even tells people to ignore them, the true Christian should realize what is going on and not fall for those tricks (1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you have asked Jesus into your heart, believed that Jesus is your Savior, or trusted Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood to erase your sins and let you into heaven and believed He arose from the dead, etc., but you have fallen for tricks like these, please follow chapter 10 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com
