Last Sunday's Message Continued

For a helpful addition to last Sunday morning's message, let's look at 2 Corinthians 5:9-10, "9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

When the Holy Spirit leads Christians to help or witness to others, they should do that and enjoy doing that, because they want to please Jesus. When these Christians get to heaven, Jesus will reward them for doing these things. On the other hand, when they fail to do these things in a way that pleases Jesus, they will not be rewarded.

So, a Christian isn't committing the unpardonable sin if they don't do what the Holy Spirit leads them to do. They will, however, not be rewarded for not doing these things at the judgement seat of Christ.
