For Wednesday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in Romans. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says to not do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

Romans 4:7-8

7Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Verses 7-8 are taken from Psalm 32:1-2. Before someone becomes a Christian, they are guilty of sin, and their sentence is eternal separation from God when they die. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." and Matthew 25:46 adds, "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

But, once someone becomes a Christian, their sins are forgiven and their sentence of eternal separation from God is lifted, which obviously results in blessedness and joy. John 3:36 explains, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." Although, simply believing in Jesus with no desire to stop sinning doesn't result in that person becoming a Christian (explained in chapters 1-9 of the pdf file book featured at this website - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com)
