In continuation of the previous messages, I don't believe that God wants those who have prayed or made decisions to become Christians to only study 2 Peter 1:3-11 in order to know if they are chosen to be Christians. If that was the case, 1 John (which was mainly written in order for professing Christians to know if they have really been converted) didn't need to be part of the Bible, and obviously that is wrong. So, when a professing Christian studies 1 John and realizes that they aren't really a Christian and trusts Jesus' shed blood and His death on the cross to erase their sins again, it is perfectly fine with God.
