We Can Do All Things
If you're like me, you have had tough times trying to think the way God wants you to think and do the things He wants you to do. This was especially true for me one day until I read the back of a woman's shirt, which mentioned Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I then realized that I needed to ask God to help me think the way He wanted me to, and trust that He would do it. And, He did.
Philippians 4:13 doesn't mean that Jesus can give us the strength to bench press 1,000 pounds if we ask Him, but it means that He will give us the ability to live the way He wants us to live each day. First John 5:14-15 teaches, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." The key to this are the words 'if we ask any thing according to his will (This means what God wants.)'. God loves for Christians to live the kind of lifestyle explained in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com
