Wake-Up Call

My copy and paste feature doesn't keep the words that are supposed to be italicized, so instead of me doing it manually, refer to a Bible to see which

words are italicized.

Years ago, I tried to lead a guy to the Lord and explained repentance and Jesus’ Lordship, and I think I didn’t do a very good job. So, he goes to another guy and probably tells him how much of a hot mess I am lol, and the guy probably tells him not to listen to me and just believe that Jesus died on the cross for his sins. This can definitely result in someone becoming a Christian but not for everyone due to their hearts not being prepared to receive Jesus (explained in the Parable of the Sower). Later on, the guy went back to his old ways and left the Christian lifestyle (see the Parable of the Sower).

Sometime in this time-frame, I mentioned the verse about God no longer seeing a Christian’s sin but instead sees the blood of Jesus. This is true for true Christians, but for those misled, they can see it as a license to sin, because God no longer sees their sin. Romans 6:1-11; 1 John 3:9 proves this to be wrong. A professing Christian who says, “I know right from wrong, but I’m going to sin anyway.” needs a wake-up call (Hebrews 10:26-29 - 26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?). Professing Christians who sin on purpose and don’t care aren’t on the road to heaven. Before they pray to become Christians again, they should include repentance.
