For Sunday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in Mark. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says to not do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

Chapter 4

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MARK

Mark 4:21-25

21And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? (Just like a candle flame that is covered and doesn't show it's light, a professing Christian who doesn't live the Christian lifestyle (descibed in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com) before others is being useless. When a Christian lives this kind of lifestyle, those who aren't Christians will be attracted to the light (who is Jesus) and want to become Christians. We're told to follow Jesus (imitate and obey Him - chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com explains how to do this), and this is how people see what Jesus is like. In John 8:12 Jesus said, "... I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.") 22For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. (Jesus' teaching wasn't meant for His disciples to keep it to themselves; His teaching would eventually spread throughout the world, and that's what happened. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus tells Chrstians to, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. One way you can do this is to give people the website for this online church.) 23If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 24And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you (The more effort Christians use to witness to and help others, the more success they will have in making people's life better.) and unto you that hear shall more be given. (Christians who have studied the Bible and tried very hard to live the way it says to live, will recieve even more biblical truth to learn and obey.)   25For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. (People who haven't followed this pattern, will recieve the opposite.)

If you have asked Jesus into your heart, believed that Jesus is your Savior, or trusted Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood to erase your sins and let you into heaven, etc., but you have not been living the way these verses have described, please follow chapter 10 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com

If you have not prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, please follow chapter 41 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com

If you have prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, but you are not sure you are really a Christian (Hebrews 11:6, Matthew 21:18-22, 1 John 5:14, and Hebrews 11:1), please follow this website - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/howtogotoheaven
