For Sunday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in Mark. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says to not do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

Chapter 3

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MARK

Mark 3:20-30

20And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself. 22And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. (The scribes accused Jesus of using Satan's power to cast out demons.) 23And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?24And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 27No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. (Jesus was saying that it is impossible for Him to cast demons out of people by using Satan's power.)

28Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: (God’s purpose for your life is for you to become more and more conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29). God won’t allow any sin that you have thought, said, or done stop you from trusting the blood that Jesus shed on the cross to erase your sins and let you into heaven. You might have thought, said, or committed every sin imaginable, but if you have a broken and contrite heart (This means if you are sorry.), you can be forgiven (Psalm 51:17).) 29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: 30Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

God will not forgive someone if they “never in their life” feel sorry for their sins; this is what Mark 3:29 means.

A similar section of verses is Matthew 12:31-32 - Jesus had been preaching and performing miracles for two years when this event occurred, and the Pharisees who committed the unpardonable sin (which means this sin can’t be forgiven) had to have heard many of Jesus’ messages and seen many of His miracles. This evidence clearly proved that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. The Holy Ghost is the third person in the Trinity, which represents God in three ways – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. One of the Holy Ghost’s purposes is to urge people to repent and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior so they can go to heaven when they leave this world. For two years, the Holy Ghost proved to the Pharisees who committed the unpardonable sin that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world, but they repeatedly refused to believe that. Every time someone is urged by the Holy Ghost to get saved and they decide not to do that, their heart becomes harder. Tragically, someone can keep putting off that decision, and their heart can become so hard that they are unable to get saved (This is explained in Proverbs 29:1). This is exactly what happened to the Pharisees. After two years, there wasn’t any more evidence the Pharisees needed to realize that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. They proved that there was no hope for them to be saved when they concluded that Jesus got his power to cast the demon out of the man from Satan, and they never changed their mind, they wasn’t sorry, or they never asked God to forgive them for thinking and saying that. This is the definition of the sin that can’t be forgiven (the unpardonable sin).

If you have prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, and you worry that you have said, thought, or done something that God won't forgive, and you would like God to forgive you, then worry no more because He will forgive you. Just ask God to forgive you for those things, and try your best not to say, think, or do it again. For more information on this, please follow this website - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/makingsure
