For Wednesday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in Luke. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says to not do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

Luke 11:23

23He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. (If you have prayed or made a decision to become a Christian but aren't following Jesus the best that you can (living a lifestyle similar to the one explained in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com), you are against Jesus and are scattered from Him. You are what Jesus called in Revelation 3:16, and that is 'lukewarm'. Revelation 3:15-16 says, "15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." The good news, however, is that if you are bothered that you are lukewarm (not following Jesus the best that you can (living a lifestyle similar to the one explained in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com)), this could mean that Jesus is rebuking and chastening you because you are a Christian and belong to Him. (See chapter 10 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com for more information.) As a result, you need to be zealous and repent (Revelation 3:19). You do this by asking God to forgive you for being lukewarm, and trying to follow Jesus the best that you can from this moment one (live a lifestyle similar to the one explained in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com). Jesus was addressing the shortcomings of the church at Laodicea in the third chapter of Revelation, and He revealed that they were also proud and thought they didn't need any correction (Revelation 3:17-18). If this describes you, please ask God to forgive you for this as well.)

If you have prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, but you are not sure that you are really a Christian (Hebrews 11:6, Matthew 21:18-22, 1 John 5:14, and Hebrews 11:1), you need to be sure - please follow this website - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/howtogotoheaven
