For Wednesday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in Luke. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says to not do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

Chapter 6

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO LUKE

Luke 6:27-38

37Judge not, and ye shall not be judged (God's job is to judge people who are not Christians, so we should leave that to Him. We should not tell someone who is not a Christian that they are wrong when they say or do something that is sinful. However, we need to judge our self (realize that we are a sinner and need to become a Christian or realize that we are not really a Christian (and we need to become a Christian) because there hasn't been a change in the way we think and/or live over time after we prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, and we aren't bothered by it.) so we will become a Christian before we leave this world and not be judged by God in the Great White Throne Judgement (see Revelation 20:11-15). However, if another believer sins, a Christian should try to gently correct them, but they should be alert and not sin in the same way if they are tempted - Galatians 6:1 says, "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted."): condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 38Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (This verse traditionally means that when Christians give money to God's work and to people in need, they will receive more money or other blessings in the future than they originally gave. But, this also includes when Christians give their time counseling, encouraging, and teaching the Bible and other helpful things to others. They will receive kindness and blessings, and as these verses imply, they will receive forgiveness, non-judgmental, and non-condemnatory actions from others if they have done the same toward others, in return. These verses prove that 'what goes around, comes around'.)
