One of the best ways that someone who has prayed or made a decision to become a Christian know that they have really become a Christian is if they actually do things to help people who have problems they come across, instead of just saying, "I hope things will get better for you." First John 3:18-19 puts it this way, "18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him."
