Really Converted
My copy and paste feature doesn't keep the words that are supposed to be italicized, so instead of me doing it manually, refer to a Bible to see which

James 5:19-20
19Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
I imagine that some claim that the people James is referencing had lost their salvation, because they no longer lived the Christian lifestyle and followed Jesus, and then a Christian let them know that and got them to pray or make a decision to become a Christian again, which saved their soul from going to hell and caused their sins to be forgiven.
However, they were never Christians in the first place: First John 2:19 explains, "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." If someone prays or makes a decision to become a Christian, but later gives up on Christianity and never returns to it, that person wasn't a Christian to begin with.
It's also possible that these people were Christians but back-slid temporarily. They needed a Christian to bring them back to reality.
If you have prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, but you have quit living the Christian lifestyle (a lifestyle similar to the one explained in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com) and/or no longer trust Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood to erase your sins, please follow this website - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/makingsure

If you have prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, but you are not sure you are really a Christian (Hebrews 11:6, Matthew 21:18-22, 1 John 5:14, and Hebrews 11:1), please follow this website - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/howtogotoheaven
