I heard a pastor on CNN the other day talking about the Southern Baptist denomination kicking out 2 churches that had women pastors. He wasn't in favor of their decision and talked about how he wasn't more qualified than a woman to be a pastor and that Mary Magdalene was the first preacher when she said that she had seen the Lord.

Although, the point of the matter is that the Bible has specific rules about what should happen in church. First Corinthians 14:34-35 explains that women shouldn't speak in church and that if they have questions during the service, they should ask their husbands at home. First Timothy 2:8-12 gives more instructions about church services, and verse 12 shares that women shouldn't teach men and should instead listen quietly.

This applies strictly to church and not to school or the workplace, etc. The Bible doesn't prevent women to be successful leaders, and many are, but when it comes to church services, men are supposed to lead.
