Don't Have It Your Way
My copy and paste feature doesn't keep the words that are supposed to be italicized, so instead of me doing it manually, refer to a Bible to see which words are italicized.
It's easy to unknowingly and automatically tell people 'No' when they want to buy something or go somewhere. This is especially common among husbands and wives and parents and children. This results in people feeling caged and imprisoned, and it leads to wrath. Ephesians 6:4 says, "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
Similarly, Philippians 2:3-4 instructs, "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." When you consistently do what you want to do and not what others want to do, you are sinning. In addition, you are causing them to be filled with wrath (Ephesians 6:4).
