For Sunday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in John. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says not to do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN

John 15:16-17

16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: (The reason Jesus erases our sins and gives us a future home in heaven is so that we may bear fruit. These are things such as: becoming more holy in the way we live (living a set-apart lifestyle similar to the one explained in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com) (Romans 6:22), sharing our material possessions (Romans 15:28), having Jesus' character traits (Galatians 5:22–23), praising the Lord (Hebrews 13:15), answered prayer (1 John 5:14–15), and doing good works (Colossians 1:10).) that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. (If we are Christians and bear fruit as a result (See the previous note.), God will answer our prayers that are according to His will. (If you ask God to heal you and others, help you make the right decisions, and save people who are not Christians, etc., God will hear you. He won't necessarily answer prayers that aren't according to His will. First John 5:14 explains this, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:") 17These things I command you, that ye love one another. (This means putting people's needs first - The way we can follow this example is if we meet someone who has a physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, or financial need (If it’s an expensive need, ask the church that we support or have supported financially with our offerings or other donations to help with the costs. The apostle Paul took up collections for expensive needs.), we should take care of those needs instead of our needs. We also should be willing to die in order to protect or help someone who is different from us or even our enemy.)
