For Sunday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in John. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says not to do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

Chapter 15

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN

My copy and paste feature doesn't keep the words that are supposed to be italicized, so instead of me doing it manually, refer to a Bible to see which words are italicized.

John 15:12-13

12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (We aren't able to literally love as Jesus loved us (die on a cross and take the punishment of others, while we are innocent, which results in their sins being forgiven), but we can follow this pattern of putting people's needs first - The way we can follow this example is if we meet someone who has a physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, or financial need (If it’s an expensive need, ask the church that we support or have supported financially with our offerings or other donations to help with the costs. The apostle Paul took up collections for expensive needs.), we should take care of those needs instead of our needs. We also should be willing to die in order to protect or help someone who is different from us or even our enemy.)

13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (Again, we aren't able to lay down our lives the way Jesus did for us, but we can die in order to protect or help someone who is different from us or even our enemy.)
