Opening Prayer - Heavenly Father we thank you for the oppertunity to worship your Son this morning. We know that if He hadn't died on the cross for our sins and arose from the dead, we would have no way to have a future home in Heaven or the privilage of worshiping Him this morning. Please bless us indeed and give us the strength and wisdom to live the way the Bible says we should live. We pray that everyone who reads this sermon who are not saved will become saved before it is too late. After last Sunday morning's sermon, we realize how important and urgent it is for us to be a Christian, so we will not be left behind when Jesus returns. Please help us to learn more important things about Your Son's return. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Jesus' Return
This is a continuation of last Sunday morning's sermon.
If you read last Sunday morning's sermon, you know that it is extremely important and urgent that you either become a Christian or be sure that you are a Christian before Jesus returns.
However, if you are a Christian, Jesus' return is by far the best thing that could happen. It is the thing that you should look forward to the most. You might be wandering why this is so.
Just think for a minute how imperfect this world is. Also, think about how imperfect the things we own, our bodies, and our minds are. Wouldn't it be nice if absoultly everything became perfect? If you are a Christian and Jesus returns while you are alive, this is what will happen. 1 Corinthians 15:53-57 proves this, and it says, "53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
How much nicer would it be if everything became perfect within a minute or second? The reality is that if you are a Christian and Jesus returns, everything will become perfect in the twinkling of an eye, and that is less than a second. 1 Corinthians 15:52 says, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
So, what will become perfect in the twinkling of an eye? Our knowledge, appearance, health, mobility, eye sight, hearing, and voice will become perfect. We will become perfect because Jesus is perfect, and we will become like Him. 1 John 3:2 teaches this, and it says, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
1 John 3:2 is a very comforting verse, but we can't forget about 1 John 3:3 which says, "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." This is an assurance of salvation verse, and it means if someone is a Christian (or eagerly expects Jesus to return), they will try to follow Jesus' example and live a pure life. If you have prayed or made a decision to trust Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood to erase your sins and let you into Heaven, but you haven't tried to live perfectly like Jesus lived (don't have sinful actions, thoughts, or words; when you aren't witnessing to and/or helping others, you try to spend the rest of your time thinking about the things of God - even while watching TV or shopping etc.), please follow this website - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/makingsure
