The Future Looks Very Bright

First Thessalonians 4:16-18 say, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

These verses are referring to the rapture (when Jesus will return in the clouds and take Christians out of the world to be with Him forever). This is definitely something to look forward to, but like it is now, events happening in the world will be pretty scary. Many people are suprised that World War 3 hasn't happened.

The thoughts of that is scary indeed, but Christians should be excited and comforted. They obviously shouldn't be excited about people dying in war, but they should understand that the battle of Armagedon will happen after the rapture. Only God knows the day and hour Jesus will return, but we will know when it's near (Mark13:28-37). This means we will have signs that let us know that Jesus' return could happen at any time. There have been many prophecies fulfilled. As a result, Christians should be excited and follow the instructions in 1 Thessalonians 4:18.

If you have asked Jesus into your heart, believed that Jesus is your Savior, or trusted Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood to erase your sins and let you into heaven, etc., but you have not been looking forward to Jesus' return, please ask God to forgive you and realize that everything becoming perfect in the twinkling of an eye is definitely something to look forward to.
