Opening Prayer - Heavenly Father we thank You for this oppertunity to worship You and study Your Word. We're eternally thankful for Your Son who came into this world to give His life for us on the cross so that we would have an oppertunity to not only go to Heaven, but that we would have the power and ability to obey Your commandments. We pray that everyone who reads or listens to these sermons who are not saved will become saved. Please help us to learn Your Word. For our third sermon in this series for Sunday evenings, we ask that You will help us to stop committing these sins and help us to be sure we are really going to Heaven. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

COMMANDMENTS THAT CAN’T BE IGNORED

Jesus said in John 14:15, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." There’s nobody in Heaven who doesn’t love Jesus, so that verse means that if you are saved, you will keep Jesus’ commandments the best that you can.

There are many examples of sins to avoid in the Bible -

2 Timothy 3:1–5 says, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves (people who spend more of their time, thoughts, and effort on pleasing and taking care of themselves instead of witnessing to and/or helping others and spending time with God), covetous (someone who has a strong desire to have something that someone else has), boasters (someone who brags about how excellent they, their possessions, and/or their accomplishments are in order to make themselves look good around other people), proud (someone who thinks that they are excellent in many ways. For example, they may think that their mind, body, possessions, accomplishments, job, country, and church are much better than others), blasphemers (someone who makes fun of and disrespects God in their mind or out loud), disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy (someone who doesn't give up what their old sinful selves would want to do and think about in order to spend their time and thoughts on what God wants them to do and think about), Without natural affection (not loving others), trucebreakers (someone who breaks a promise that they made to another person), false accusers (saying that someone said or did something that they didn't do), incontinent (someone who doesn't hold back their sexual appetites), fierce (someone who is eager to be and easily becomes violent and furious), despisers of those that are good, Traitors (someone who turns on their country or the place that they are supposed to defend, and they turn them over to be defeated by the enemy), heady (someone who violently hurries and makes a decision, even though it could lead to harm), highminded (someone who thinks that they are better and more important than others), lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God (someone who enjoys pleasing and entertaining themselves more than they enjoy witnessing to and/or helping others, and when they aren't doing that, spending time with God); Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (You should stay away from people who appear to live a godly life but won't trust Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood to erase their sins and let them into Heaven)" .

If you have never prayed or made a decision to trust Jesus’ death on the cross and His shed blood to erase your sins and let you into Heaven,  please go to this website - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/howtogotoheaven

The Bible teaches that if someone claims to be a Christian and continually commits the sins that were just listed (or any other sins) on purpose, and they don’t feel sorry and/or try to not do them again, that person is not a Christian. A Christian can and will very likely commit some of these sins repeatedly, but that Christian will feel really bad about it and will ask God to forgive them and try their best, with the Holy Spirit’s help, to not do them again.

If you continually commit sins on purpose, and you aren't bothered and upset because of it (Hebrews 12:5–11), then you need to pray or make a decision again to become saved. Please follow this website to become saved - http://chriswaug5.wix.com/howtogotoheaven

(If you have prayed or made a decision to trust Jesus’ death on the cross and His shed blood to erase your sins and let you into Heaven, but you commit the sins that were mentioned in Galatians 5:19-21, ask God to forgive you. Then, “from this moment on”, try your absolute best (explained in Revelation 3:19) to not commit these sins again, with God helping you change.)

If in the future you haven’t tried your absolute best to live this way, then ask God to forgive you. After that, “from this moment on” try your absolute best (explained in Revelation 3:19) to begin living this way again, with God helping you change (Continue to follow this pattern every time you fail to live this way.).
