2 Corinthians 2:14-16
14Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 15For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
When people wear perfume, everyone around can smell it; it literally reaches everyone. In the same way, Christians' presences can be experienced by everyone around, especially if those around know they are Christians or sense they are Christians by the way they talk and act. Those who aren't Christians seem to become uneasy and refrain from their ungodly conversations and actions and are under conviction that their lifestyles are wrong and that they need to become Christians. On the other hand, when Christians are around other Christians, it is like a breath of fresh air. They should become strengthened and encouraged to follow Jesus (live a lifestyle similar to the one explained in chapter 39 of this book - www.areyousureyouaresaved.com)
