Hope This Easter

My copy and paste feature doesn't keep the words that are supposed to be italicized, so instead of me doing it manually, refer to a Bible to see which

words are italicized.

The Coronavirus has drained a lot of hope from the world this Easter season. With so many deaths, the situation seems hopeless, but one person's (Jesus') death gives true hope to the world. More particularly, His resurrection from the dead is the ultimate example of hope.

First Corinthians 15:14-19 explains, "14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable."

Jesus' shed blood is what erases our sins, but if Jesus didn't raise from the dead, we wouldn't be able to go to heaven. Sickness and death are stressful, but the ultimate relief is knowing you are going to heaven -
