Thankfulness
Something I've been guilty of is not expressing to God how thankful I am for Jesus dying on the cross for me so I can live in heaven one day. I've spent a lot of time studying the Bible and theology and thinking about how I can apply those truths, but stopping to enjoy and celebrate what Jesus did for me is something I've overlooked.
Believe me, celebrating the fact that you're going to heaven can brighten any day, no matter how dark it is. Or maybe you've made a decision to become a Christian but have fallen into sin and are depressed. If this is the case, you can be like David and trust that God will restore the joy of your salvation (Psalm 51:12).
It's also a very productive way to spend your time, while relieving stress. I can be having struggles during the day and experience immediate joy and peace when I think about what Jesus did for me and how perfect heaven will be. Not only is this good advice, all Christians should take time and think about and enjoy God's love for them (Revelation 2:1-5).
