No Uncertainity

Someone who has prayed or made a decision to become a Christian needs to know that after they pray or make that decision, they are going to heaven when they leave this world. The following verses prove this -

Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please him (It is impossible for someone to become a Christian if they know that God won't answer their prayer for them to become a Christian.): for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Someone must believe in God if they want to pray to Him.)

Matthew 21:18-22, "18Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 19And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

20And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! 21Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." The point to be taken from verses 21 and 22 is that if you pray for something, in this case salvation, and doubt that you have really become a Christian, you won't become a Christian.

Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." This verse means that faith is knowing that you will get what you ask God for (most importantly, you believe that you will go to heaven when you leave this world if you tell God that you trust Jesus' shed blood on the cross to erase your sins and let you into heaven), and it is being certain of what you don't see (Even though you couldn't see God erasing your sins, you know it happened.)

Hebrews 3:1-6, "1Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 4For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (Someone is God's house (a Christian) if they remain confident that Jesus is their Savior throughout their life. They could have doubts every once in a while, but for the most part, they will be at peace in knowing that they are going to heaven. Even John the Baptist, the one who prepared people for Jesus' coming, had doubts that Jesus was the Messiah while he was in prision (Luke 7:18-23).

A verse very similar to Hebrews 3:6 is Hebrews 3:14, which says, "For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;"
