Hope This Easter
There's no denying that the world we are living in is very uncertain and hostile. The US alone is facing uncertainty with Syria, Russia, and North Korea. In addition, many innocent people are seemingly trapped in the middle, not knowing when disaster will strike. These circumstances seem to be hopeless, but the greatest battle ever won was when Jesus, our true hero in the midst of caos, defeated death and arose from the grave on Easter morning over 2,000 years ago.
While the dangerous events of this life play out before us, dying and being separated from God for an eternity is much more severe. We all would lose this battle and succumb to this unimaginable end, but Jesus gloriously sealed our victory. The victory came not only when Jesus took the punishment we deserved for our sins on the cross, but the Bible teaches that if Jesus hadn't arose from the dead, we would not be able to have our sins forgiven. First Corinthians 15:17 reveals, “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.”
