For Sunday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in John. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says not to do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.

Acts 2:23-33

23Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: (God knew what would happen, and His plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed by Judas. With the help of Gentiles, who didn't know the law of God, the Jews Peter was preaching were responsible for Jesus being nailed to a cross and killed.) 24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. (Although, God released Jesus from the horrors of death and raised Him from the dead once and for all.)

25For David speaketh concerning him, (King David prophesied about Jesus, and Peter stated his words in verses 25-28.) I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: (Jesus knew that God is always with Him, and He will not be shaken.)

26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Jesus knew God would raise Him from the dead.)

28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

29Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. (David was dead and buried and wasn’t referring to himself. Verses 25-28 is prophecies about Jesus.) 30Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; (David, being a prophet, knew that God swore with an oath to him that the Messiah (Christ) would come through his family line and would one day sit on his throne.) 31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. (David prophesied that Jesus would be raised from the dead.) 32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. (The prophecies point to Jesus as the Messiah. Peter and others witnessed His resurrection, which fulfilled the prophecy of David.) 33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, (Now Jesus is seated at God's right hand (the place of highest honor in heaven).) and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. (As God had promised, He gave Jesus the Holy Spirit to pour out upon Peter, who gave him the sermon he has been preaching in these verses, and the people Peter preached to, in which the Holy Spirit proved Jesus was the Messiah and that they needed to receive Him into their hearts (become Christians).)
